A new law is availble -in Christ Jesus
Romans 8.1-4:There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did;sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
These verses tells us that when we are in Christ Jesus, this law has set us free from the law of sin and death. Sin is still in our flesh but the law of the Spirit of life is stronger than the sinful flesh.
As an offering for sin, Jesus condemned sin in the flesh; for us not to follow that anymore but walk according to the spirit.
By his grace, by his strength it is possible to live a life according to this new law; Paul call it also to live by the Spirit -Galatians 5.16; then, if we do this, we are not anymore carrying out the desire of the flesh.
If we do this we are living in the truth and remember; truth is Christ.-John.14.6-
To say with other words: A new law has been made available for me, after I came to Christ; the law of the Spirit of life. This I can take benefit of; let it strengthen me to be an overcomer of sin and death in daily life.
Then by the grace of God I can bear fruit for God. Romans 6.22
