Communication with God; the creator of heaven and earth, is fundamental for working accordingly to His plan! To do His work, we first of all need to know His plans for our lives. So our responsibility is; to hear his voice and do accordingly.
Creativity is a key in daily life for getting satisfied as God wants us to be. God wants us to to get involved in every area of human life as sport, culture, science, politics, media etc. It’s no limit for the Lord how far He is going to take us. We believe that He rejoice when we are stretching out, in every kinds of ways, for reaching further with the Gospel.
God needs believers in all levels in society. Actually he needs Christians in all kinds of professions! By The Holy Spirit, we want to move on, and in whatever we are doing, we want to have His word; the Bible, as a fundament!
We look upon the Bible as a manual for all human beings how - to work as best as possible and that also means: to be as happy as possible! Actually the human race is the most advanced creation upon the earth. When God created man, he gave him the earth to rule upon, and to do this work properly, man needed continually to communicate with the designer of all creation. Man really needed to have relationship with God!
But by sinning, man chose not to have such a relationship.
Anyway through the ages, God has IN LOVE prepared a way for salvation and restoration, and He has even inspired men and women to write down a specific manual for the human race and its tasks. This manual is; the Bible.
Our name Hedmark Missioncenter means; that we as a church is a base in the area of Hedmark in Norway and working with mission from our district and country, throughout the world.
At home in Hedmark we have housechurch in Wednesdays, prayer meetings Fridays and Sundays we have service. Look here
The first foreign country, we have started work in, is India! On an invitation from another mission organisation in 1999, our leader Egil Sætrang joined a team to see the mission field in West Bengal, and there he met different people that really challenged us!
From that time, we have been working among the Nepali people in Darjeeling district; close to Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and Burma…
Actually ,what we are doing; is joining local Christians in their vision and working with them to realize what God has given to their heart. We are not there to change their culture, but for God to change their hearts!
We are to now, in different ways, cooperating with different works: Siloam, Faith in God and a specific multi denominational prayer network and even a independent church. We are, at the moment, supporting about 15 workers. Some of them are evangelists, some pastors and some are working in children home.
In addition, we have been helping the Nepali people to run children homes, and we are nowadays extending for more children, and then we are, together with them, running a full time Nepali Bible school.
Every January; January 10 was the 9th time, we have the last years been running a short time bible school in a very beautiful village; Latpanchor. That one, we are running together with the Siloam network. To now about 310-320 students have accomplished this school! Before, the training endured for two weeks, but the last years, it has been extended to three!
In years that come, we are stretching out to do similar work in other nations and among different peoples.
