Israel, the church, jealousy and the principles of the Bible!

-About Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 and about Ishmael and Isaac-

Jealousy comes out in a situation when you think what others have are better than what you have yourselves. Maybe you are thinking: If I only had the same background as him everything would be all right!

It should be no reason for you to be jealous! God loves all of us and for him every one is unique, special, made exactly how he wanted us to be. You are created in his image to be happy; full of joy and to do the work he has prepared beforehand!

But in this world many things are unrighteous, because sin has entered the world through man. So there are many differences and because of that; it’s not strange at all that you are jealous. But anyway; it’s not the way to react.

Knowledge about what is right and wrong, about the love of God and about the will of God with our lives, will set us free from jealousy!

In the story about Cain and Abel the essence is not that God does different with different people because he loves somebody and others not. God is love and loves all men. And he is looking upon the earth; to find them who love him back and follow his instructions, that he has given us out of love! And he rewards those whose hearts are fully committed to him! (2.Chron.16.9)

When God had revealed that without blood being shed, there is no forgiveness of sin, -then a offer had to be given; something living with blood within!

Abel understood this and offered a sheep from his flock as sin-offering.-But Cain who worked with the sold thought it was not so important what to offer, so he took some corns from the field and offered that! But to do things in our own way is not good enough towards God, even if we think it’s reasonable!

We have to do according to his principles!

Cain could also offer an animal. He could make a deal with his brother and get a sheep to offer to do accordingly to the instruction of God. Cain didn’t have to come into this situation. If he did right it wouldn’t happen! By pride we can’t be standing! We can’t do just what we feel to do or think ourselves.  To get out the blessings of God we have to be obedient!

When we do things in our own ways, then pride, bitterness and jealousy will arrive.

If God gives us some promises, we don’t need to discuss these, but walk the road that the word of God tells us to go; to get a part in them.

If God tells us to bless Israel; it is just that he means! And if Israel is the country that God promised Abraham through Isaac it’s not the way to react –to be jealous. Nowadays, the way to blessings for all people is to bless Israel and receive Christ, and then we get partakers of the promises of Abraham.

The country Israel was promised of God to Abraham through his son Isaac. (Gen.17.6-8 and 17.19-21). - Norwegians, Nepali, Arabs and all other people don’t need to be jealous towards the Jews because of that! But we can rejoice that God has prepared a way for salvation for all people through the Jews (Jesus). We need to be thankful both to God and to the Jews when we understand this!

The Jews was the people in which Jesus chose to be born! And that was because of the father of faith; Abraham, who also is the forefather of the Jews; he cut a covenant with God, the creator of heaven and earth.

Jesus could choose to be a Norwegian, a Nepali, a Swedish, but he didn’t because he had found a covenant partner in Abraham. Hallelujah!

-Should Jesus come to earth and be a man, it was natural that he was born in a tribe, within a country among a people. His tribe was the Judah tribe of Israel, his country was Israel and his people; was the Jews!

The key to be blessed yourselves is to say yes to the principles of God and to all his word; the Bible! It’s the same if you are a Norwegian, a Chinese, a Nepali, a Russian an Arab or whatever else!

We don’t need to argue with God...

Teaching from the Bible:
Roman 1.16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to every one who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
