And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts.4.12
To get forgivenes for sin an offer is demanded. Bible tells us that the wages of sin is death(Rom.3.23) So the sin demands the sinners death.Without an offering instead of us we were finished; we were without chance to get forgiveness and eternal life.
By His death Jesus fulfilled the law (Matthew 5.17); He did what the law required for sin to be forgiven.
He totally identified with you and me as sinners, so when he died He actually died mine and your death. In other words; He payed the price for our sins.
The wages of sin is death. -Therefore Jesus chose to take our punishment to make it possible for us to get eternal life. And this He did as a highpriest( Hebrew 4.15) And then as a highpriest he went into the temple in real heaven; into the temple not made of men, not of this creation; with his blood He went into the Holy of Holiest, like saying: God my father, here is the payment for the sin of mankind. His blood was the a clear evidence about His death a few days earlier.
Jesus payed the price.
Now, you can get free.
The law came to make sin visible. But through Christ I am now free from the law. First of all that means: I am free from the punishment of the law.( on the other hand; by His grace I am set free to in Him fullfill the law)
Again: He totally identified with you and me as sinners on the cross and died our death.
Now, we are supposed to totally identify with His work on the cross and live out His life which is in us, when we are born again.
He was crucified for me.
He died for me.
He was buried for me.
and He was ressurected for me; for me to live the new life.
His offer was valid for me before God. That I need to appriciate and not neglect.
Two verses in Bible very clear tell us about the eternal principle about the blood:
Leviticus 17.11
Hebrew 9.22
Leviticus 17.11:For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.
Hebrew 9.22:And according to the law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
Out of these verses we see the clear principle: Without blood being shed there is no forgiveness.
No other man/God/religion has given the solution on mankinds biggest problem -the sin -by giving the sinoffer Himself.
God was acting according to his own eternal principles when he sent His son to be the sinoffer.
God, the son, was acting according to the the eternal principles of God when He by His own free will gave up His life for you and me.
The Holy Spirit was acting according to the eternal principles of God when he anointed Jesus for his work on earth including His death and ressurection..
Trinity, the Deity was cooperating for your salvation!
Because of what Jesus did, we now can have a cleansed conscience and when we approach God, we can do it by joy because of what he did for us.
And we can even know
that He wants to enable us
to daily
do His work
Romans 6.23: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
