The Siloam network is being
led by senior pastor Vongmo. He used to be a priest in the mighty
organization: C.N.I. = Church of North India. But in 1993, he left it and all
his privileges within it, to serve God, in a new way, up in the mountains. He
started a new organization, which he gave the name: Siloam. -
Our short time bible school is held within this network. The Siloam network was started in 1993, and it has, to now, -at least 32 different churches/ fellowships; all together about 1500 members (-when children is included; about 2000)
When Vongmo started to build new churches, he also was radical according to the
Scripture, and finished baptizing small children. From that time, he only
baptized they who confessed Jesus as Saviour and Lord! -In the beginning, he did
it by only sprinkling some water on the heads of the participants. But he
understood later, that when he should baptize, he needed to get all their body
under water, as a sign for burial!
Senior pastor Vongmo is very good known, among the Nepalese, in these areas. And from
different networks , he gets inquiries about preaching. He also, in a very
practical way, takes part in the short time bible school in Latpanchor!
Pastor Vongmo will be the principle in the fulltime bible school, in Sikkim, from autumn 2008!
