Egil Sætrang was born in 1959 and grew up in the town, Hamar, in the east of Norway. Since he grew up in a warm Pentecostal home and very early was brought to the local church; Filadelfia, he early learned to know Christ. On an age about 10, he decided himself to be baptized and short time before being baptized, he experienced to speak in other tongues for the very first time in his life.

In 1979 Egil Sætrang met Jorunn, the one who was going to be his wife. And they married in September 1980.

Together, they went to Word of Life's  bible school in Uppsala from 1990 to 1992, and went through the very first mission school  at the same place, in summer 1993.

In 2002 he took his exam in Christianity under the theological faculty in Oslo: Menighetsfakultetet.

Autumn 2004 and spring 2005 Egil joined the pastor course, run by the Word of Life's university, which at that very time, was held in Oslo.

Most of his life, Egil Sætrang have been very focused about mission and want to inspire and motivate people wherever they are  for that task. -It means for him; being a fisher of men; guiding people into the kingdom of God!
